How to keep your baby warm
Keeping a baby warm is important, especially during colder months. Here are a few ways to ensure your baby stays cozy:
1. Dress them in layers: Layer their clothing with a onesie, long-sleeved shirt, sweater or jacket, and hat to trap body heat.
2. Use blankets or sleep sacks: Swaddle your baby with a thin blanket or use a sleep sack designed for infants, as they provide warmth without becoming tangled.
3. Control room temperature: Keep the room they sleep in at a comfortable temperature, around 68-72°F (20-22°C), using a thermometer.
4. Warm the crib or bed: You can warm the crib or bed by using a hot water bottle or heating pad, but remove it just before placing the baby down to sleep.
5. Don't overdress: Avoid over-bundling your baby as it may make them too warm and increase the risk of overheating.
Remember, always monitor your baby's temperature and behavior to make sure they are comfortable and not too hot or cold.
